Flor Coelho é uma das bailarinas convidadas para dançar na Gala "Ya Amar" do "Ya Amar Festival", organizado por Teresa Tomás.
O Festival irá realizar-se entre os dias 15 e 17 de Novembro de 2013 em Valência e recebe como convidada especial Nesma Al -Andaluz.
FLOR COELHO BIOGRAPHY
Flor is a Portuguese dancer living in Oporto, Portugal. She started her ballet studies at the age of nine, and since then dance has pretty much been the centre of her life, although she does have a parallel career as a Psychologist. Besides Ballet, Flor has also experimented, trained and performed many different kinds of dancing, such as: Contemporary, Jazz, American Tap Steps, African Dance and Traditional Portuguese Dances.
Nevertheless, when Oriental Dance came into her life in 2002, she knew she had discovered the way to truly express her soul and body through dance.
Her solo performances and choreographic group projects have been presented in various events and theaters. Just to name a few: “Oriente Luso” /”Maia´s Handicraft Market”, Portugal, 2008; “Quasar”/ “Raqs Britannia”, Open Stage, Inglaterra, 2009; “Salomé”/ “Rosa do Deserto Festival”, Coimbra, Portugal, 2011; “Violet”/“Porto Bellyfashion”, Portugal, 2012; “Enchanted kingdom” choreographic project/ Cine-Teatro António Lamoso, Santa Maria da Feira, Portugal, 2013.
Flor was selected artist to dance in the International Bellydance Conference of Canada, 2010 and invited artist to dance in the Opening Night Gala, in the 4th International Bellydance Conference of Canada, 2012.
Presently she teaches and performs in the north of Portugal, and is the artistic director of “BellyStudio” – Art, Expression and Development.
Her way of dancing reveals versatility, dynamics, dramaticity, elegance and graciosity, expressing the cultural richness of a dance without borders, that moves closer the East and the West.
